We are actively recruiting a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy logistics facility in Houston, Texas. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations. You will play a vital part in our inventory management and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced in various forklift operations. This role demands physical dexterity and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, containers, and railcars.
- Accurately pick, stage, and put away inventory.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
- Wear all required PPE diligently.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a clean driving record.
- Certification from a recognized training program is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
