We are looking for a detailed-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position is essential for managing the intake of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining proper inventory records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting deliveries, documenting received items, and organizing stock within the warehouse. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to logistics procedures are critical. You will be the first point of contact for incoming inventory, playing a key role in the accuracy of our supply chain. This role involves physical activity, including Lifting and moving goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or shortages.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label all incoming stock appropriately for identification and tracking.
- Organize and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Follow all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and experience with WMS or similar software.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
