We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy distribution center in Orlando, Florida. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring that inventory is safely and accurately handled. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating various types of forklifts and a strong commitment to Safety and operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital part of our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for safe operation.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations, company policies, and the proper use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or Safety hazards to supervision immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
