We are hiring a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Raleigh, North Carolina location. This role is central to managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining organized records. Your efficiency and attention to detail are critical to our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for outgoing shipment.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and tracking information.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a logistics setting.
