Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a challenging role in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma? Join our logistics team and contribute to the efficient flow of goods in our distribution center. In this position, you will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and retrieve inventory safely and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials between different areas of the warehouse, and ensuring proper placement of goods. Safety is our utmost priority; you will be required to conduct pre-operation checks on equipment, maintain it properly, and strictly follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. This role involves handling substantial weight, including palletized loads, requiring the ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting. A solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics best practices is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the consistent use of PPE.
- Inspect loads for stability and proper securing before transport.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all logistics procedures to ensure efficient material handling.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Operate other material handling equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification/license and proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant lifting and maneuvering of heavy items.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and practices.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Good communication skills.
