Join our team as a Warehouse Worker in Madison, Wisconsin, and be an integral part of our efficient logistics operations. We are looking for hardworking and dedicated individuals to handle a variety of tasks in our busy distribution center. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receipt to shipment, contributing directly to our customers' satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and responsibly.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular quality checks on products and materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Follow all guidelines for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental goals and optimize logistics processes.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting of boxes and materials, often weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Understand and follow instructions related to warehouse procedures and Safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including consistent Lifting and standing for long durations.
- Awareness of Safety best practices and adherence to them.
- Comfortable working in various temperature conditions typical of a warehouse setting.
