Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to load, unload, transport, and stack materials, contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. A strong commitment to Safety, a valid forklift certification, and experience in a warehouse environment are crucial. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that materials are handled properly and that operations run smoothly. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and possess excellent operational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with inventory management, including moving and organizing stock.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow specific work orders or instructions from supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 pounds) and other physical tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations and material handling.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
