Our Denver, Colorado location is searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage our warehouse inventory. This senior role requires a sharp mind, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management best practices within the Logistics sector. You will be instrumental in ensuring inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and implementing procedures that minimize waste and loss. This is a challenging and rewarding position for a seasoned professional.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and comprehensive cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory variances, implementing preventative measures.
- Oversee the accurate recording of all inventory movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Manage stock rotation, identify obsolete or slow-moving items, and recommend disposition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, purchasing, finance) to ensure inventory accuracy and alignment.
- Train and mentor junior inventory control staff.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety regulations and environmental policies.
- Maintain appropriate PPE and ensure its proper use by all relevant personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a large-scale warehouse or distribution center.
- Advanced proficiency in WMS and ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills.
- Expertise in inventory management methodologies and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and training teams.
- Physical capability to conduct warehouse audits and occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety standards.
- Commitment to ensuring the correct use of PPE .
