Our Detroit, Michigan facility is looking for a motivated Warehouse Worker to join our logistics team. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient handling of inventory and timely order fulfillment. You will be involved in various warehouse activities, from receiving and stocking to picking and shipping. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, have a strong work ethic, and prioritize safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials and products from incoming shipments.
- Stock and organize inventory in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick products for customer orders.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Load outgoing shipments onto transport vehicles.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic inventory procedures.
- Must wear designated PPE, including safety footwear.
- Understanding and adherence to safety protocols is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
