We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our fast-paced warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately select items from warehouse shelves and prepare them for shipment. This position requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will work with advanced scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure all orders are processed correctly. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be trained on all safety procedures and the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using handheld scanners and order lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications.
- Package picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Transport picked items to packing or shipping stations.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to facilitate efficient operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to handle frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy are crucial. A strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to a safe working environment. Understanding of logistics processes is beneficial.
