Join our growing logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage the receiving process for incoming goods. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy of our inventory and the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for unloading, inspecting, and verifying shipments against documentation. A strong commitment to Safety and following established procedures is a must. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. Proper use of required PPE is essential for all receiving tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight and deliveries.
- Compare received items against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists for accuracy.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Accurately record all incoming goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare received items for put-away, ensuring proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal warehouse staff.
- This position may require occasional Lifting of packages up to 50 pounds.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and warehouse procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, shipping, or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with scanning devices and WMS.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a busy logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
