Seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all warehouse equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. You will be involved in both preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, tackling a variety of equipment challenges. Understanding and utilizing the correct PPE will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities and parts used.
- Uphold all safety standards and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Manage inventory of maintenance parts and tools.
- Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure equipment availability.
- This position involves frequent Lifting, often requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Respond to urgent repair requests to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the logistics sector is highly valued.
- Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- Physical stamina for manual tasks and working in various warehouse conditions.
