We are seeking a motivated and efficient Order Picker to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical to our fulfillment process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and quickly assembled for shipment. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating specified items, and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment are paramount. You will work closely with other warehouse associates to ensure seamless logistics operations. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is required.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify the items picked against order requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Transport picked items to the packing station or designated staging area.
- Assist with stocking incoming inventory and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts as directed.
- Collaborate with packing and shipping teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and smooth logistics.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 40 pounds. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet picking quotas. Basic reading and math skills. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE. A reliable and punctual work ethic is essential for success. Familiarity with logistics and inventory systems is a plus. Teamwork and communication skills are highly valued.
