Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona? We are hiring! This role is vital to our warehouse operations, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of materials. You will operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload inventory. Attention to detail is critical to ensure accurate placement of goods and to prevent damage to products and property. You will also be responsible for pre-operation inspections of your equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all company guidelines, including the use of PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and electric forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Stack and store inventory in designated racking systems and floor locations.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues or required maintenance.
- Pick and stage orders accurately based on pick tickets and shipping schedules.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as directed, including general labor and material handling.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment is required. Valid forklift certification is a must. Proven ability to perform heavy Lifting, typically up to 70 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles is beneficial. Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Experience with reach trucks or cherry pickers is a plus. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics setting and always prioritize safety.
