We are hiring motivated Order Pickers for our warehouse located in Omaha, Nebraska. As an Order Picker, you will be a crucial part of our logistics operations, responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders. Your main duties will involve navigating the warehouse efficiently to locate specified products on shelves and using handheld scanners or pick lists to identify and retrieve items. Ensuring the correct product codes and quantities are selected is paramount. Once picked, you will carefully place items into appropriate containers or onto carts for subsequent processing. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential for efficiency and safety. You must strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role demands physical activity, including prolonged standing, walking, and the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 35 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Use RF scanners or paper pick lists to locate and retrieve items.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Place picked items into totes, boxes, or onto carts for transport.
- Move picked orders to designated staging or packing areas.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking capacity is a plus. Ability to read and interpret pick tickets or scanner data accurately. Must be able to perform repetitive lifting of up to 35 lbs. Comfortable standing and walking for the duration of the shift. Strong focus on accuracy and detail. Understanding of basic warehouse safety and logistics principles. Willingness to work as part of a team to achieve daily goals.
