We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse. A strong emphasis on Safety, proficiency in forklift operation, and attention to detail are paramount. You will play a key part in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring accurate inventory placement, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This position requires adherence to all company Safety protocols and the proper use of PPE. The ability to perform moderate Lifting and work in a fast-paced environment is also necessary. We are seeking reliable individuals with a proven track record of safe operation and a commitment to operational excellence. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. Experience with various types of forklifts and a solid understanding of warehouse Safety procedures are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange inventory accurately according to established guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with receiving and shipping activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Accurately record inventory movements and report any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet operational goals.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
