We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair and vehicle restoration, with a strong background in using various hand and power tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and customer satisfaction are paramount. Candidates with dealership experience, MIG welding skills, and mechanical knowledge will be highly valued. The position involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality standards are met at every stage of the process.
*Duties*
* Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and collision damage restoration
* Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to repair or fabricate parts as needed
* Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to shape, cut, and install sheet metal components
* Conduct vehicle maintenance checks post-repair to ensure safety and quality standards are met
* Assist with auto estimating and customer service interactions when necessary
* Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in auto body repair, or automotive restoration; dealership experience is a plus
* Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and use of various hand and power tools
* Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including sheet metal work and auto glass replacement
* Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles preferred
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
* Automotive repair or mechanic experience is beneficial but not mandatory
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different repair scenarios

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
