Senior IT Project Manager
to join its
IT Project Management Office
on a contract basis.
This role will lead the day-to-day delivery of
complex IT application and data integration projects
within a commercial insurance environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Project Manager who thrives in structured enterprise environments and has a strong grasp of both
IT delivery and business stakeholder engagement .
The Role As Senior IT Project Manager, you will take full ownership of multiple complex IT initiatives, managing delivery from initiation through closure using established
PMLC and SDLC
frameworks. You will partner closely with business leaders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects using PMLC and SDLC methodologies
Manage all project phases, ensuring milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines are met
Develop and maintain all core project documentation including charters, schedules, budgets, risk and communication plans
Coordinate project activities across IT teams, business stakeholders, and third‑party vendors
Track project performance and implement corrective actions where required
Define project scope and schedules in partnership with business stakeholders
Translate business needs into clear IT requirements and functional specifications (working with BAs and architects)
Identify and manage cross‑project dependencies and risks
Provide regular status reporting, metrics, and risk analysis to senior and executive leadership
Ensure projects meet audit, governance, and compliance requirements
Secure resources and funding in collaboration with management
Required Experience & Skills
8+ years
of IT Project Management experience, delivering complex application and data integration projects
Strong knowledge of
project management and SDLC methodologies
Proven ability to independently manage
mid‑to‑large scale IT integration programmes
Experience applying
Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid
delivery approaches
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across technical and business teams
Ability to translate business requirements into actionable IT deliverables
Experience working in a
matrix management environment
Hands‑on experience with project and portfolio tools (e.g.
MS Project, Planview, SharePoint )
Solid experience across requirements management and testing phases
Commercial Insurance
experience highly desirable
