Are you on board? This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their Business Analysis career to develop their skills while working alongside experienced colleagues in a supportive BA community at LNER. The role plays a key part in understanding and documenting business needs, processes, data flows and compliance requirements to support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.
Working across multiple functions and with external partners, you will help analyse, optimise and digitise business processes to drive efficiency and support LNER's corporate and digital strategy. Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder engagement are central to the role, ensuring that digital initiatives deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes. This position offers the chance to grow your experience within a diverse and evolving IT and change portfolio during an exciting period of transformation at LNER.
Within this role you'll also be involved in;
Analyse and map current and future business processes, data flows and compliance needs, helping LNER understand the impact of change across teams and stakeholders.
Work as part of multi-disciplinary delivery teams to shape and deliver high-quality digital outcomes.
Lead and facilitate engaging workshops, turning insight and discussion into clear analysis, recommendations and next steps.
Translate business needs into well-defined requirements, ensuring digital services align with user needs and the Digital vision.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value through process optimisation, digitisation and automation.
Apply Business Analysis tools, techniques and agile ways of working to investigate, document and improve business processes.
Support projects end-to-end, from defining objectives and requirements through change management, user testing and delivery sign-off.
Build strong, productive relationships with stakeholders across LNER and work closely with technical colleagues, including Solutions Architects, to support the design of resilient, effective solutions.
Contribute to the delivery of LNER's wider strategy by helping shape a forward-looking view of business needs and improvement opportunities.
What we're looking for:
A good grounding in Business Analysis, with a strong desire to continue developing your skills.
Clear, confident communication skills, able to produce concise documentation and explain complex ideas effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, comfortable working with complex or abstract concepts.
Able to influence and challenge constructively, using evidence and analysis to support decision-making.
Experience applying a range of analysis and change techniques, adapting your approach to different situations.
A collaborative team player who can manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure.
High emotional intelligence, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
An understanding of business analysis modelling standards and tools.
