Scope & Purpose The Internal Sales Manager is a key commercial leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, overseeing the internal sales and estimating teams, and ensuring the delivery of accurate, competitive, and profitable project estimates.
Working closely with the Commercial Sales Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping sales strategy, developing team capability, and maintaining a high-performance culture. The position requires a blend of technical understanding, commercial acumen, and strong people‑management skills to support clients effectively and drive operational excellence across the internal sales function.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the Sales and Estimating team to achieve commercial targets.
Oversee daily sales activity, ensuring accurate, professional, and timely customer responses.
Support estimating activity directly during peak workloads or complex projects.
Business Development & Client Relationships
Support delivery of the commercial sales strategy alongside the Commercial Sales Manager.
Identify and develop new commercial opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships.
Represent the business in client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
Technical & Product Expertise
Maintain strong technical knowledge of secondary glazing products and applications.
Provide technical guidance and tailored solutions to clients and internal teams.
Ensure high product competency across the Sales and Estimating function.
Act as the commercial lead for marketing initiatives within the commercial division.
Work closely with Operations and Production to ensure end-to-end project alignment.
Contribute to pricing, forecasting, pipeline reporting, and commercial strategy.
Experience Required
Proven experience in B2B internal sales leadership or commercial sales management.
Experience managing or supporting estimating and technical quotation processes.
Strong track record of building long‑term B2B client relationships.
Background with technical or specification‑led products (ideally construction or manufacturing).
Demonstrated ability to drive new business growth and manage sales pipelines.
Strong commercial acumen, CRM experience, and familiarity with structured sales processes.
This role is office based in Dinnington, Sheffield. There may be time when you are required to attend meetings onsite also. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
