Are you a friendly and organized individual with a passion for helping others? We're seeking a dedicated Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring their experience is seamless from the moment they walk in or call our office. Responsibilities:
- Answering Phone Calls: Greet patients warmly and professionally over the phone, providing assistance with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns.
- Scheduling Patients: Efficiently manage the appointment book, scheduling and confirming appointments for patients, and coordinating with the dental team to ensure a smooth flow of patients throughout the day.
- Checking Insurance Eligibility: Verify patients' insurance coverage prior to their appointments, ensuring accurate billing information and addressing any coverage-related inquiries.
- Collecting Payments: Process payments for services rendered, including co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Provide patients with detailed explanations of their financial responsibilities and assist with financial arrangements when necessary.
- Managing Consent Forms: Ensure all necessary consent forms are completed and signed by patients before treatment begins, maintaining organized records and adhering to privacy regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in dental software systems and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in office administration or healthcare administration is advantageous.
