Low Voltage Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including CCTV (Surveillance Systems), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Access Control Systems. This role requires a keen understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read schematics. The Low Voltage Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities. Vehicle will be provided.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems such as CCTV (Surveillance Systems), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Access Control Systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Read and interpret schematics for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Utilize hand tools, computer hardware, and diagnostic equipment for system installations and repairs.
• Provide training to clients on the operation of installed systems as needed.
• Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices related to low voltage systems.
• Assist with system upgrades and retrofits as necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in low voltage system installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting is preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV (Surveillance Systems), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Access Control Systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings effectively.
• Certification in low voltage or related fields (e.g., BICSI, NICET) is a plus.
• Strong telecommunication skills for effective client interaction.
• Proficient in using hand tools and computer hardware relevant to the trade.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
