Environmental Scientist

AquAeTer is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that provides scientific and technical services on projects related to energy, engineering, environmental, and risk analysis.
Our company focuses on working closely with our clients to solve a variety of their environmental challenges.

Our Brentwood, TN office is seeking a motivated ecologist, biologist or scientist, with 3-5 years of experience to join our close knit, collaborative team. Time is split between the office(work from home potential, but some office time may be required) and field. Travel out of state will be required up to 50%.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting wetlands delineations, stream assessments, water quality, sampling and review, species review/habitat assessments, and multi-media sampling
• Preparing technical reports, permit applications, and data analysis
• Coordinating with clients, regulatory personnel, and subcontractors
• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
• Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (potentially)

Summary of Qualifications include: BS/BA in Ecology, Biology, Geology or Natural
Science Related.

• 3 to 5 years of related experience
• Proficient with GPS
• Ability to key out plants using plant identification manuals/programs
• Ability to delineate wetlands independently
• Fish or macroinvertebrate identification a plus, but not required
• USACE Wetland Delineation Training preferred
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter that can work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with current Microsoft Office Software
• Ability to use ESRI ArcGIS Pro preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49, $60,000.00 per year
