Asphalt Dispatcher

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Create and manage delivery schedules for asphalt and base deliveries according to

customers'
orders.

• Maintain clear communication with drivers, production plants, and customers to ensure we are

servicing them professionally.

• Communicate with drivers and ensure that they are utilizing the most efficient routes to

optimize delivery efficiency.

• Customer communication, providing updates on shipping status, addressing customer inquiries, and

resolving delivery concerns.

• Utilizing company software, when possible, to ensure drivers are utilizing the correct routes

and are returning in a timely manner.

• Address any unexpected issues during the deliveries and communicate to customers any

delays.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and

prioritize deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

• Firm understanding of all company software, including Excel, Word, AUJS, and dispatch

systems.

• Strong understanding of traffic and roads in the geographical area of our target

market.

• Basic understanding of asphalt production and application preferred.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Class C driver's license.
• Driver record cannot contain any reckless driving offences, DUIs, leaving the scene of an

accident, etc.

• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and to complete assigned tasks on

schedule.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work with supervision, receiving instructions/feedback, coaching/counseling, and/or

action/discipline.

An asphalt dispatcher coordinates the movement of asphalt and base delivery trucks from the plants
to
job sites at customers' desired delivery windows.
