Facilities Maintenance Technician

Description:
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide general upkeep and repairs across multiple Childcare Centers throughout Northern Fairfield County.. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, be comfortable traveling between locations, and be committed to ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for our students.

Part time or full time position, Mondays-Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Repair furniture and equipment.
• Install and repair minor electrical equipment and lighting fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Make minor repairs to heating, air conditioning and ventilating equipment.
• Assists in removal of snow.
• Perform routine landscaping.
• Handle general handyman tasks, including carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including labor and materials used.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff.

Travel between multiple locations in Fairfield and New Haven counties as needed (travel reimbursement available).

Requirements:

• Must pass fingerprint and background check administered by the FBI in order to work at licensed childcare centers.
• Experience in maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Must have a valid driver's license (travel required).
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
