In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children across preschool, toddler, and infant age groups. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through attentive caregiving and engaging activities
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities, following care plans and behavior management strategies
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children in developing social skills
- Assist with basic first aid or emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring the well-being of all children
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in special education or behavior support is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their growth through caring guidance and educational activities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
