Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to support diverse dietary needs and preferences
- Handle food safely and hygienically in accordance with food safety regulations
- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, cooking, plating, and garnishing using proper knife skills and culinary techniques
- Support catering events by preparing dishes, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to uphold sanitation standards
- Serve food to guests or clients in a professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service experience
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary department roles, dietary aide positions, or similar food service environments
- Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or catering settings
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper kitchen sanitation practices
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with fine dining service or culinary environments is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is highly desirable
