Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Pre-K Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a focus on fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journey during their formative years, emphasizing literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and overall well-being.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to preschoolers, incorporating literacy education, math and physical education.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote early childhood development and support individual learning styles
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged 4-5 years
  • Utilize behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among students
  • Conduct assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers through regular communication about child welfare, progress, and classroom activities
  • Support children with special needs through early intervention strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Incorporate child welfare practices ensuring the safety, health, and emotional well-being of all students
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, classroom management, and innovative teaching techniques

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Pre-K or Early Childhood Teacher
  • Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education and math instruction.
  • Experience with special education, early intervention programs, and standardized testing procedures is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators
  • Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional growth and academic achievement
