We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing & Applications Engineer to join our team and manage the full contract lifecycle for our key aerospace programs.
About The Role
The Manufacturing & Applications Engineer is a critical link between the business development and manufacturing engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for the accurate estimation, configuration and quotation of complex aerospace assemblies. Post award you will perform manufacturing engineering tasks following parts from planning to completion. Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and government regulations (including ITAR/EAR). This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a professional interface with both customers and internal stakeholders. The VP of Contracts Administration will be key in maintaining accurate contract records and supporting the integrity of our sales, quality, and compliance processes.
Note: This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), so the successful candidate must meet the U.S. person requirements as defined by ITAR and EAR regulations.
What You'll Do
Prepare Engineering Estimates: Interpret aerospace drawings and perform accurate cost estimation for complex tube assemblies, machined components and weldments
Interface with Customers, Vendors and Employees: Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to RFQ's, Make relationships with vendors to gather quotes and interface with the team to accurate estimate work functions.
Work planning: Interpret drawing packages to create work instructions. Manage jobs and create and accelerate production schedules.
Manufacturing Engineering: Join our growing manufacturing engineering team. Assist with job planning, Tooling design, and making continuous improvements in our tube bending, welding and machining work centers.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years experience in aerospace manufacturing or similar high quality production environments
Proven attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills for managing complex aerospace drawing packages and products
Demonstrated ability to review, interpret, and summarize complex drawings for aerospace metallic part manufacturing.
Proficiency in CAD to open, manipulate and modify part files.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer and internal interfacing.
Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn the requirements of ITAR/EAR/DFARS/NADCAP/AS9100D.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering. Or equivalent 10 years of experience in metallic component manufacturing and estimation
Experience with cost estimation of metallic components for CNC machining, tube bending, welding or similar processes.

Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
Work Environment
Office-based work with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
25% of time spent in production floor, interfacing with technicians and engineers
Occasional overtime may be required to meet critical deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74, $90,000.00 per year
