Position Type: Part-time

Pay Range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on experience)

School Location-Community: POPLAR HILL ELEMENTARY (473) Rutherford County

Shift: Monday through Friday,After School Care (2pm to 6pm)

Join the YMCA of Middle Tennessee as a SAS Site Assistant, Afternoons - Poplar Hill Elementary School and be part of a team that helps children grow socially, physically, spiritually, and mentally in a fun, safe, and engaging environment

What You'll Do:

• Actively lead and engage a group of 15–20 children in activities, inside and outside.
• Set up and transform program spaces into child-friendly environments and ensure cleanliness.
• Help plan and implement a quality curriculum aligned with YMCA guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with YMCA staff, school personnel, and families.
• Ensure site licensing and quality standards are maintained.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum Age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enthusiastic, organized, and team-oriented individuals with a passion for youth development.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to multitask.

Certifications Required:

• Before your first shift: Orientation, DHS Background Check, Fingerprinting, Abuse Registry Check, health forms, training sessions, and references.
• Within 30 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric).
