We are seeking a mission-driven, values-oriented Product Manager to oversee two key anti-abuse SaaS products: NetBeacon Reporter and NetBeacon Measurement and Analytics Platform (MAP) with the potential for future portfolio growth. Our Anti-abuse products are important because they help protect individuals, organizations, and the entire Internet ecosystem from a range of threats and malicious activities that can undermine security, privacy, and trust online. Reporting to the Senior Director of the NetBeacon Institute, this role is ideal for those passionate about making the internet safer, having a positive impact, and who thrive in startup-like, fast-paced environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Requirements Gathering: Collect and document requirements from a diverse set of global stakeholders including but not limited to domain registries and registrars, abuse reporters, cyber-security companies, corporate/brand protection agencies, law enforcement, vendors, and end users.
• Backlog Management: Manage product backlogs and feature roadmaps for NetBeacon Reporter and NetBeacon MAP, ensuring user relevance, mission focus, and development team workload balance.
• External Development Management: Oversee priorities, sprint cadence, and deliverables for external development teams.
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with external partners and manage priorities for external development and data providers.
• Internal Development Partnership: Collaborate with internal development leadership to communicate product priorities, clarify requirements, and provide business context
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Manage the product roadmap and contribute to the product strategy
• Product Success Definition: Partner with leadership to define "what success looks like" for each product; drive mission-driven usability and performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Ensure product features map to objectives and "do good" values; proactively identify opportunities for anti-abuse innovation, to include areas such as data sources, reporting, dashboards, visualizations, etc.
• Voice of the Customer: Facilitate feedback sessions (email, outbound outreach, ICANN meetings, etc.).
• Documentation & Training: Deliver onboarding guides, product documentation, and training assets.
• Occasional international travel may be required
Supervision Received and Exercised
Position works under general supervision of the Senior Director, NetBeacon Institute.
Minimum Experience Requirements
● BA/BS degree or equivalent.
● years' experience in product management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
• Proven technical product management experience, ideally in SaaS, or data-driven environments.
• Hands-on experience managing development backlogs, roadmaps, and sprint cycles.
• Experience working with both internal and external development teams across timezones.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility; able to translate user feedback into actionable improvements.
• Proficient in stakeholder management—comfortable interfacing with technical, legal, and business audiences.
• Familiarity with large data sets, data validation/cleansing, and analytics platforms (Tableau experience preferred).
• Reasonable technical expertise; able to communicate effectively with engineers and data experts.
• Excellent written documentation and organizational skills.
• Driven by values, mission, and a desire to "do good" through technology.
• Strong Microsoft and/or Google productivity suite skills
• Experience in developing or managing anti-abuse or cybersecurity-related products is a plus.
• An understanding of domain names, domain registrars and registries, and the DNS is a plus.
