Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of those they serve by delivering personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. This role involves assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents or clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities through specialized care techniques including memory care and behavioral support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Observe and document patient conditions, report changes to healthcare professionals promptly
- Use patient monitoring tools and assist with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Implement individualized care plans designed by healthcare teams or social workers
- Engage in patient-centered activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in caregiving roles such as home health, hospice care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or group homes. Prior experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care is highly valued. Experience working with diverse populations including people with autism or developmental disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, and use of mobility aids will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Prior long-term care experience and familiarity with care planning are also beneficial for success in this position.
