Grill Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant settings. This role involves preparing high-quality grilled dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional service to our guests. The Grill Cook will play a vital part in maintaining the kitchen's efficiency and upholding the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
• Ensure all food is prepared safely and meets quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and kitchen area
• Assist with menu planning and suggest new ideas for grilled items
• Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to food safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients needed for grilling and notify management when supplies are low
• Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure an appealing appearance
• Support catering events or special functions as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service, preferably in a restaurant or fine dining environment
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required
• Culinary experience including catering, serving, or kitchen experience is highly desirable
