Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake

Contract
with a client in
Chicago, IL.
The ideal candidate must have advanced expertise in Python, SQL, and Snowflake architecture, along with experience in Airflow orchestration and Kafka-based data synchronization.
Rate Range:
$53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, build, and manage data pipelines for ETL processes using Airflow for orchestration and Python for scripting.
- Implement and maintain data synchronization between on-premises Oracle databases and Snowflake using Kafka and CDC tools.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with data architects to ensure efficient data structures for reporting and analytics.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.
- Ensure best practices in CICD implementation for automated deployment of data pipelines and infrastructure changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Snowflake and modern data platforms.
- Proven expertise in building and managing data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and SQL, along with experience in Kafka and CDC tools for data integration.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, data modeling principles, and cloud platforms (preferably Azure) for scalable data solutions.

Pay Details:
$53.00 to $60.00 per hour
