Legal Assistant
Hiring for Waterloo, Iowa location. Remote work considered on a very selective basis.

We are an Iowa based law firm continuously operating since 1958. We pride ourselves in an open-door culture of mentorship and support from fellow attorneys and staff. We are a full-service civil law firm focusing on personal injury and also providing family law services, estate planning, and business litigation representation.

Seeking self-starting, proactive legal assistant / paralegal for personal injury cases. Additional consideration for those with experience handling medical malpractice cases. Someone with the confidence to learn on the job, ask questions of others, and willingness to accept the meticulous nature of the law and rise to that bar.

Additional bonuses available based on performance of the staff member and their contribution to firm success.

Applicants should be comfortable working with multiple attorneys and staff, be willing and able to work with Clio case management software, Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF software. Must be able to work over email and virtual meetings for attorneys at different locations.

On-site work in Waterloo, Iowa but remote opportunities available for candidates with sufficient experience to work independently.

1 week vacation after 90 day probation period; personal and sick time available upon start. Additional time off accrued after 1 year and additional years of service.

Firm pays cost of work-related travel, association membership, CLE, etc. Firm provides health insurance (minimal cost ) FSA plan, and optional vision, dental, and disability insurance and SIMPLE IRA contribution of 2% annual compensation.
