Job Title: QA Automation Tester (Selenium)

About the Role

Our Company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled QA Automation Tester with strong Selenium expertise to join at our Direct Client place in Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our digital applications that support member services, roadside assistance, insurance products, and internal operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Selenium WebDriver automation scripts for regression, functional, and smoke testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and build comprehensive test cases.
• Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and story grooming from a QA perspective.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent user experience.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide clear feedback to the engineering team.
• Maintain testing documentation including test plans, test cases, and automation strategy.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and test automation frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–6 years of experience in QA testing with strong focus on Selenium automation.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and Page Object Model (POM).
• Proficiency in programming languages used in automation (Java, Python, or C#).
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise environments or with membership-based organizations.
• Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks (Appium a plus).
• Experience with cloud-based test execution (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
• Exposure to BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
