Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with perioperative experience to support our boutique, office-based cosmetic surgery center. This is a part-time maternity leave coverage positionwith the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right individual who aligns with our culture, clinical standards, and patient-care philosophy.
Knowledge of sterile technique is essential, and prior experience in cosmetic surgery and/or liposuction (Smartlipo) is a strong plus. The ideal candidate is polished, positive, dependable, and thrives in a patient-focused, boutique surgical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerioperative Support
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient visits
- Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, supply trays, and operating room
- Maintain sterile technique throughout all procedures
Surgical & Clinical Duties
- Assist surgeon during liposuction and cosmetic surgery procedures
- Clean, sterilize, and restock instruments and operating room
- Ensure equipment remains compliant, maintained, and ready for daily use
- Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of surgical and medical supplies
Patient Care & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient education and follow-up
- Explain treatments, procedures, and physician instructions clearly
- Provide thoughtful, compassionate care consistent with our boutique patient experience
Documentation & Administrative Duties
- Complete accurate charting, surgery notes, and progress notes
- Ensure compliant handling of patient and clinical records
- Schedule and coordinate post-operative appointments
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Operating room / perioperative experience required
- Cosmetic surgery or liposuction experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of sterile technique
- Professional, polished communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and patient-care abilities
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Required availability: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional Fridays
- No Saturdays required
- Ability to commit to the maternity leave term, with the option to continue long-term if mutually aligned
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience and aligned with the skill and professionalism required in a Joint Commission–accredited boutique cosmetic surgery practice.
