Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and entering a high volume of invoices into SAP accurately and timely. You will perform 3-way matches and resolve any discrepancies, maintaining organized filing systems for invoices and related documentation. This position requires strong vendor communication to clarify invoice issues and ensure prompt resolutions. The role will also involve assisting with data entry and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter invoices into SAP daily with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform 3-way match (PO, goods receipt, invoice) and resolve any discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to clarify invoice issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain organized filing of invoices and related documentation.
• Assist with AP data entry and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Adapt to evolving processes during AP implementation and support department initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable with strong invoice processing skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, particularly with transactions such as MIRO, MIR7, MB5S, and other AP-related functions.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking.
• Tech-savvy with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills for effective vendor interaction.
• Ability to handle 30–40 invoices per day and manage variable workloads.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Experience with AP automation is a plus.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and processes.

Work Environment

Accountant under the direction of the CFO. The work environment is low stress with no micromanagement, allowing for professional growth and development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Carol Stream, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $30.00/hr.
