Daycare Center Bus Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation for children ages 4 weeks of age thru 8 years old. This role requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of safety protocols, knowledge of the surrounding area, and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport children to designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals.
• Educate passengers on safety procedures and proper behavior while on the bus.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding schedules and any changes.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the bus by conducting daily inspections; before and after each run.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed, providing support for those with disabilities or special needs.
• Write reports on any incidents or issues that occur during transport, ensuring accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Valid 7D license.
• Experience in school bus driving or similar roles is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus (but not required), enhancing communication with non-English speaking passengers.
• Ability to educate passengers on safety protocols and ensure compliance during transportation.
• Must pass background checks as required by EEC regulations.
