Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and a flair for menu planning. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This role requires leadership skills, creativity in cooking, office and computer skills and a commitment to hospitality excellence.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff.
- Collaborate on menu planning and development, ensuring innovative and seasonal offerings.
- Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Help with ordering supplies and managing vendor relationships as needed.

Experience
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field is required.
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory control and kitchen operations.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively while promoting a positive work culture.
- Experience in menu planning with an emphasis on creativity and seasonal ingredients.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines is required.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65, $70,000.00 per year
