Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our properties. In this role, you will complete various maintenance tasks with professionalism and efficiency, gaining experience in areas like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general property upkeep.
Duties
- Building Maintenance: Perform building maintenance, service requests, turnover maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
- Repairs & Improvements: Handle tasks like carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs. Suggest property improvements as needed.
- Exterior Work: Complete exterior building tasks such as repairs to siding, doors, and windows. Occasionally help with lawn care, weeding, and other landscaping duties.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines while using tools and equipment and ensure all work meets health, safety, and building codes.
- Emergency Response: Be on-call for after-hours emergencies and weather-related issues.
- Tenant Relations: Maintains positive relations with tenants, customers, staff, and the corporate office.
- Team Player: Supports our continued growth by performing other related duties as assigned and contributes to the overall mission of the company as needed.
You Have
- Experience: At least 2 years in property maintenance or similar fields (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Equipment Skills: Ability to use hand/power tools and operate necessary equipment.
- Technical Skills: Troubleshoot mechanical systems and follow repair instructions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
You Should Be Able To
- Lift & Carry: Frequently lift, move, or carry items weighing 50+ pounds.
- Maneuver Properties: Move about properties often including ascending/descending of stairs and ladders.
- Be Flexible & Mobile: Bend, squat, kneel, twist, and walk for periods of time while inspecting/addressing properties or equipment.
- Operate Devices: Frequently operate electronic devices for communication and task management.
- Exchange Information: Communicate with tenants, vendors, and colleagues to exchange accurate information.
- Inspect Projects: Observe, inspect, and assess maintenance projects which includes travel to and from property locations on a regular basis.
