The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.

Under the supervision and direction of the Pharmacist the Medication History Pharmacy Intern will perform medication histories through patient/family/significant other interviews for patients arriving in the Emergency Department to be admitted to the inpatient units. The role requires an appropriate level of understanding and training in medical terminology and medication related terms. Responsible to maintain confidential reports, enter and retrieve data utilizing the computer system, and speak confidently with patients/family, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Currently enrolled in a PharmD Program

Minimum Requirements
Current State of Connecticut Intern Registration

Preferred Qualifications
At least one clinical rotation in a hospital setting
