As the Dining Services Director you will lead the way in consistently providing a fine dining experience to all our community's residents and their loved ones. You will oversee and maintain the smooth operation of all daily food and beverage services, both Front and back of the house, including special events You will engage in specialty cooking, preparation, presentation, and serving and are an active participant within community happenings.

What Cascade Living and Regency Grand of West Covina look for in a Dining Services Director:

• Associate's degree in the Culinary Arts, OR experience as a sous or executive chef in high-end, senior living communities, hotels or country clubs preferred
• Five years of direct supervision and management experience preferred
• Minimum one year of direct supervision and management experience required
• Creativity to the art of food preparation, while also being able to plan menu's daily and within budget
• Experience and/or training in nutrition, food preparation, safe food handling techniques and food service management
• Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
• Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
• Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve
• Ability to hire, train and provide leadership for Food and Dining personnel
• Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day

What you can expect to do as a Dining Services Director for Regency Grand of West Covina:

• Ensure meals are prepared on time and served efficiently
• Make a significant contribution to the quality of life our residents by maintaining the highest possible quality and consistency
• Demonstrate organizational skills around time management as you manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Oversee a budget and maintain records and reports
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures
• Ensure cleanliness in both kitchen and dining room
• Work on special events on a monthly basis
• Evaluate employee performance and assume responsibility for recruiting, hiring and training new employees
• Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living

Required Certifications:

• Culinary Degree or Work Experience Equivalent
• Food Workers Card

$ $35.00/hour

• Depending on experience
