Position Title: Customer Service Engineer III

Salary: $105,635 - $116,530 / Year

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week

Summary of Duties: Perform installation and commission of Siemens' equipment at customer

sites with minimal supervision. Troubleshoot and repair customer equipment for assigned product line. Perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens' diagnostics equipment at customer sites. Ensure all tools and test equipment expiration dates are managed and that none are overdue for calibration. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers. Provide service that supports high level of customer satisfaction. Perform customer follow-up calls for each on-site repair to ensure the instrument is operating at specification and the customer is satisfied. Serve as technical resource for Customer Service Engineers (CSEs) within the service region/area/zone. Train customer end-users to operate Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics' equipment to ensure optimal system performance. Provide remote support for other CSEs and other customers when not at customer site. Determine need for and provide on-site escalation and support. Travel and assist in and out of assigned area for escalation and service support. Manage financial performance within territory, meet budget for revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management. 100% travel required to customer sites throughout San Diego, California area.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Field Service Engineer, Medical Service Technologist, or a related occupation. The position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct complex problems to resolve instrument malfunctions; Identifying system issues that require application intervention; Reviewing and assessing documents for installation, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, and block diagrams; Successful completion of technical training courses, including safety procedures and guidelines of biohazards and PPEs; Training customer service engineers on assembly, components, and preventative maintenance; Principles of electricity, power supply, and grounding; Using network application tools, including evo, mButler, MS Office Applications, and Concur. 100% travel required to customer sites throughout San Diego, California area.
