Generations College in downtown Chicago is seeking to immediately hire adjunct instructors for various courses.

Generations College located in downtown Chicago has a distinguished history and an exciting future. Founded in 1904, Generations has been committed to providing its diverse student population with an exceptional education, while building students' self-confidence and encouraging lifelong learning. We are conveniently located in the historic Heyworth building, just steps away from Millennium Park, and excellent transport links.

In all programs of study, students receive a comprehensive, practical education unparalleled by any other two-year college. The College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and holds numerous program approvals by certified national agencies including the American Bar Association and the National Court Reporters Association. As the nation's third oldest, two-year, private, nonprofit institution, Generations offers campus based and online Associate Degrees in: Court Reporting, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, and Legal and Paralegal Studies.

We are looking to hire adjunct instructors for the following on-campus courses:

Speech Communication

Introduction to Computing

Introduction to Psychology

Introduction to Sociology

Introduction to Criminal Justice

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary Responsibility is to engage students in a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and inspire success in our students. This position works closely with other faculty, the Program Director, and the Dean of Academic Affairs. Must be reliable, innovative, and willing to work in a diverse student environment.This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible. Must be detailed oriented, team player, have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and projector. Candidate should be knowledgeable in software programs including MS Office. Experience teaching online is preferred. References are required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Master's degree or higher in any discipline (required)
  • Prior teaching experience (preferred)
