Job Description:
The individual working as an Operations Associate in the Brokerage Operations department will be interacting by phone and email with our financial professionals. Primary responsibilities include establishing client accounts, reviewing necessary paperwork, providing general service support, and being knowledgeable with all our product offerings.
The training period requires presence at the home office location in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which typically ranges from 6 - 8 weeks, depending on learning pace. Post-training may allow for some work from home opportunities.
Competencies:
People succeeding in this role are good communicators, service-minded, detail oriented, empathetic, and have a strong interest in investment securities. They work well with others, in a high-volume environment where they are often faced with time constraints and competing priorities.
Communication:
Must exhibit strength at handling incoming phone inquiries. Most important is the ability to communicate verbally; however, written communication skills are also needed.
Equipment and Software Skills:
Strong computer skills are required. May be asked to research various product, investment strategy, and marketing information. Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel, required.
Industry Licensure:
Ideal candidates will have passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and Series 7 license, or willingness to obtain both within first 12 months.
Education and Experience:
Ideal candidates will have obtained a Bachelor's degree. One-year investment securities broker-dealer or RIA experience preferred. Other work experience may be considered.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
· Frequently required to sit and utilize visual acuity and finger dexterity to operate equipment, including keyboard.
· Frequently required to talk and hear via telephone headset.
· Will work within open-cubicle environment with bright fluorescent lighting and moderate noise levels.
