Custom Wire Industries is a family-owned and operated business located in Muskego, Wisconsin. We have been in the Electrical Wire Harness Industry since 1968. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team and help us in our goal to become industry leaders

Job Summary/ Description

This role will supervise employees and operations to manufacture products while optimizing safety, quality, teamwork, productivity, costs, and customer service. This role will lead the overall vision and direction for daily manufacturing operations designed to meet production schedules, customer demand, equipment efficiency, and material flow while meeting quality requirements with effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

· Leadership Responsibilities

o Supervise and teach production employees to ensure on time and high-quality products

o Assume direct supervision of one or more departments

o Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating

o Work with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review, and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant

o Create clear development paths and providing hands-on training to elevate the team's technical capabilities

· Production Management

o Monitor production workflow to meet customer demands

o Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads between departments for optimal efficiency

o Handle administrative tasks including disciplinary actions, labor reporting, and workforce planning

o Develop redundancy through cross training within production departments. Manage personnel and assign manpower to the greatest need

o Execute performance reviews

o Coordinate and communicate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of production run assignments

o Maintain records, reports, Targets to Improve (TTI), and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as required for the operation. Actively review performance results with team including actions for improvement

· Quality

o Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications for production

o Collaborate with quality team to address defects, implement corrective actions, and enhance product reliability

o Train operations personnel and ensure maintenance of training records

o Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines

o Work with other members of Management to create the appropriate training material to facilitate the continual growth of all employees

Experience Required/ Qualifications

· Five plus years supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

· Demonstrate abilities in planning, delegation, communications, problem solving, and decision making

· Analytical thinking with a drive to identify and implement process improvements

· Computer skills sufficient to perform the job requirements (JobBoss software, Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally

· Have good organizational skills with ability to prioritize and pay attention to the details

· Experience in an organization with ISO/Quality System Requirements

Pay: $50, $70,000.00 per year
