We are an independent family owned pharmacy located downtown Shelton WA. We have been established since 1932. We pride ourselves in our customer service that separates us from the big box stores. We are looking for a staff pharmacist. We are looking for a part time pharmacist that wants to be a team player and hard working. The pharmacist must have good communication with peers and customers. Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-time Pharmacist to join our healthcare team that can fill in 1 day a week plus vacations. We are a busy pharmacy that fills around prescriptions a day. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient service, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, particularly in acute care and critical care settings.
  • Conduct medication therapy management and review patient medication regimens for safety and efficacy.
  • Administer IV infusions and perform IV insertions as necessary for patient treatment.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff in daily operations.
  • Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and industry trends to provide the best possible care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in pediatrics, acute care, or critical care settings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical management practices and patient care protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and electronic health records.
