Job Overview:
The welding mechanical assembler will work independently in completing manufacturing related assignments in minor fabrication, piping, mechanical assembly, and/or electrical wiring processes. The assembler should be able to provide training for other assemblers in specific skills or tasks when assigned by the plant manager. The assembler should be able to perform jobsite installations and/or repairs working as part of a field team or a work project leader. The assembler should also have proficient skills in specific discipline(s) such that he/she can be categorized as key SCI craftsman in that discipline.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Some level of continuing education that is related to is recommended
· Must have prior experience working with heat treating
· Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out tasks or work independently up to final review and decisions
· May direct the work of others to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal directions
· Must perform the role of trainer in specific discipline(s)
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Master the use of hand and power tools
· Work may require extensive periods of standing, bending, stretching, lifting, and reaching
· Be proficient in wielding processes necessary for SCI manufacturing; read electrical prints and layouts, read piping prints (two-lined and isometric); read mechanical prints; read and understand suppliers' instructions
· Use initiative in conduction recurring assignments to fabricate and assemble products by using drawings, sketches, and verbal direction
· Must be proficient in some forms of process and tack welding; basic electrical skills including lay out and mount conduit and pull & terminate wire; lay out, cut & thread, and mount piping systems; set, level & align furnace drive systems
· Employee will be required to use overhead cranes and fork trucks to set up and/or move equipment. Will assist in loading and unloading equipment
· Perform jobsite installations as part of a field team and as a team leader
· Assist in the training of less skilled or less experience mechanics as directed by plant management
· Perform other duties and functions as required
Shift Information:
· 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm
· Overtime as needed (possibility for 50-60 hour weeks/10-12 hour days)
Other Information:
· $ /hr or higher depending on your experience
· Temp-Perm

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
