Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in geriatrics and senior care, and will be proficient in various nursing procedures. This role is essential in providing quality healthcare services, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the medical team in delivering comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status.
  • Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and suture care as needed.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient interactions and interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Support patients in urgent care situations, providing timely interventions as necessary.
  • Exhibit knowledge of anatomy to assist in various medical procedures effectively.
  • Engage with patients and their families to provide education on health management and wellness.

Requirements

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience or training in geriatrics and senior care is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical records management systems.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations competently.
  • Knowledge of cardiac catheterization techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Capability to work in a Level II trauma center environment is advantageous.
  • Must demonstrate compassion, patience, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
